The End of the Spear
It’s been a while since I posted anything, so here is something timely that I thought worth mentioning.

The film The End of the Spear was just released in theaters. Many Christians were anticipating something great from this film version of the life of the Godly, inspiring missionary Nate Saint. Unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, Hollywood has toned down any mention of the gospel in this movie. Also unfortunate, and much more unexpected, is the fact that the film company knowingly hired someone for the lead role who is an open advocate of a lifestyle the Bible clearly calls sinful.  There are also modesty issues about the film (and in the ads and trailers beforehand in the theaters).  If you are considering seeing the movie, I encourage you to take the time to read the well-stated cautions of Tim Horn and Caleb Hayden.
