Roberts Hearings to Start Tomorrow
Very mixed reactions to the nomination of John Roberts to the Supreme Court are coming from the conservative Christian community. Roberts may not move the court in the wrong direction, although this is not a settled issue. But even less certain is, will he do much to move the court in the right direction? No one knows for sure. I highly recommend that you check out this excellent, balanced interview given by Howard Phillips on the Roberts nomination.

Katrina Relief Work
Some great Christian organizations have various relief operations going at Katrina’s ground zero. If you’re wondering which of the numerous rescue groups to donate to, you might want to check out these groups. One that has a lot happening on many fronts is ALERT, the Air Land Emergency Resource Team. ALERT is a great Christian organization that trains young men in emergency response skills, and has become well known to government leaders for their outstanding performance in real-life emergencies. Check their website for news and updates. Also, a team of men from Vision Forum are involved in a relief operation at ground zero. You can read about their progress and eyewitness news on Doug’s Blog.
